Dave_048 PALM BAY, FL; I've gotta tell you, it's been a long time since I bought a pair of golf shoes - back in the 70's, actually. They were a great pair of Dexters, real leather, wing-tips with the tassel over the laces, and they were heavy. Comfortable but heavy. And they provided good service for years even though I only played occasionally.

Then we moved to Florida, and as strange as it sounds, I didn't play for a long time. Those great shoes got mouldy. No kidding. Mouldy. So there are drawbacks to living in a high-humidity zone (but only a few). So when I had the opportunity to play, I did it in athletic shoes, which was okay although there were times when I knew my footing could have been better during a swing.

So I decided to take the plunge and get myself properly shod for the grand old game. I did some research and decided on the pair pictured; the Foot Joy Contour Series. Wow, folks, are they ever comfortable. They allowed me to forget about my feet while concentrating on my game, although if you've seen me play you might wonder if my concentration is enough.

As you see them here, they have carried me through two rounds. When I stop to think about them I realize that they are at least as comfortable as anything I have ever had on my feet. Excellent traction.

I highly recommend them. If you're considering new golf shoes, do yourself a favor and get some.
